I am delighted to tell you that this week Alistair Burt MP for North-East Bedfordshire today sang the praises of our veg box scheme and the farm shop in parliament. It is a huge honour for little old us to be mentioned alongside the big boys like Jordan's.

thought you might like to know about our apple day fiesta which is happening this Sunday, 10.30 till 4.30, at the farm shop (based in the grounds of roxton garden centre)

 

we will be celebrating all things related to apples

 

for the kids we will have free spartan apples

for the adults we will be taste testing a variety of apple juices

 

we will also have loads more apple related products

toffee apples

apple and onion chutney

apple and cinnamon fudge

apple and blackcurrant fudge

New this week in the shop

butternut squash and pumpkins from roxton

 

also a new addition to the shop are breakfast cereals direct from biggleswade and the jordans fields we have wheatflakes and oatflakes, a 30g portion is all you need to start the day and to make it extra special add some fresh fruit

 

again we will have Gunn's bakery speciality bread parmesan & sundried tomato loaves along with a range of there other bread

 

Kevin is back from holiday so we again have a range of his fresh lamb, along with Southall's bacon, ham and pork

The runner beans are here, my most favourite veg of the season has arrived, luckily I managed to pick some earlier this week for our tea and they were delicious.

This week I have also had the chance to make a few jars of redcurrant jelly and victoria plum jam.
